PSMHA U15 AA FEMALE COACH ANNOUNCEMENT
PSMHA is pleased to announce Rory Peters as the U15AA Female Coach for the inaugural 2020/21 season.
The game of hockey has always been a huge part of Rory’s life. Rory played competitive minor hockey and had tried out for the SJHL prior to pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Rory’s passion for the game is evident as his volunteer roles include 15 years as an off-ice official in the WHL and coaching roles within the PSMHA for the past 8 seasons.
Rory has also coached youth softball, soccer and golf. Rory’s coaching philosophy is to create a positive, high-paced, fun environment that is suitable for developing well-balanced hockey players and teammates. As a coach, he strives to be both a mentor and teacher to each player, instilling a strong work ethic, commitment to goal setting and respect for the game.
Rory’s goal for the future is to help position PSMHA as a flagship association within female hockey in Saskatchewan. Rory’s goal of fostering the love of the game at the grassroots level, providing girls a program they can grow within to the highest level throughout their minor hockey years aligns with the PSMHA.
PSMHA is confident that players will have an opportunity to learn and grow their knowledge, skill and ability promoting confidence in play, on-ice awareness, good decision making, creativity and the capability to play and compete at a high level with proficiency and consistency under Rory’s guidance.
